Scoring Guide for Blog entries

The daily scribe must follow the guidelines below:

  1. The post must include the date the notes were taken.
  2. The post should also include the HW and a reminder of upcoming assessments. ( I know I have this in the HW calendar but this is another source.)
  3. The notes must be posted within 24 hours.
  4. The class notes should be clear, detailed but concise, and be helpful to someone who might be absent that day. You need not copy all the problems done on the board but some examples should be given.

Each entry will be worth 1o pts.

2 pts for including the date and HW assignments

1 pt for posting it within 24 hours.

7 pts for the clarity and completeness of the notes.

A blog is interactive, so anyone can comment or ask a question about a post. You may also use the blog to ask  a question about something you are unsure about and anyone can respond. I will give one bonus pts ( Max. 5 pts/ quarter) to anyone who responds seriously to someone’s question.

This is a new way for me to assess your mathematical communication skills. Feel free to comment on how this could be improved.
