Due to router failure at my house I was unable to post my notes on time, but here they are now, sorry for the delay.

Quiz Wednesday on Chap 1 and 2

 

Derivative:

      

·      There are no derivatives at cusps.

·      Tangent lines are useful cause they can generally linerize any curve of a graph, which helps you find the derivative.

Symmetric Difference:

            

Calculator things on AP that don’t need justification:

  1. Find the zeros of a function but the equation must be stated
  2. Graphing, but you need to show the window.
  3. Numerical Derivative

 

How to do numerical derivative on calculator: have to have a function in Y1. Push Math, nDeriv Y1, X, C.
